Future-proof Internet and TV network

The regions are selected according to various criteria, including the number of applications and the structure of the existing network. We also ensure that there are communication service providers in the network to be established and that they have access to the Elektrilevi network.

If other fiber optic networks are being built in your area, we recommend that you investigate further:

• when the network will reach you;
• when you can start consuming the service;
• when you have to pay the connection fee;
• whether you can choose the telecommunications operator yourself;
• whether the monthly fee must be paid even if you are not currently using the communication service;

The connection fee will be between 199 and 299 euros, and the initial subscription deadline will be displayed when concluding the contract. The connection fee is one-time with no additional charges. The price includes the construction of the network and pulling the cable to the border of your property or to your house. You can pay in up to six interest-free installments.

In an apartment building, we conclude an independent connection agreement with each customer and pull the cable to the front door of your apartment.

For each apartment building, both the number of connections and technical possibilities are taken into account. The construction of the network will be started when there are enough connected apartments in the building. Before the start of construction, Enefit will sign a cooperation agreement with your housing association. We will send you the connection invoice once we have confirmed the construction of the network. If it turns out that it is not possible to build a telecommunications network in your apartment building, we will notify you, cancel the contract, and will not issue an invoice for the connection fee.

The connection fee is based on the place of consumption, which means that a separate connection fee must be paid for each place of consumption. For example, in the case of semi-detached houses with two consumption points requesting a communication network, the connection fee must be paid in both parts of the house.

In an apartment building, we sign a separate connection agreement with each client and bring the cable inside, near the front door of the apartment.

For each apartment building, both the number of members and the technical possibilities are taken into account. The construction of a high-speed internet network will start when enough people have joined in the apartment building. Before the construction starts, Enefit will sign a cooperation agreement with the apartment association. We will issue a connection fee invoice to our customers if we have confirmed that we will start the construction of the network in the apartment building. If it turns out that it is not possible to build a communication network into the apartment building, we will send a notification after the connection deadline, the contract will be canceled and the invoice for the connection fee will not be submitted.

If the project provides for the installation of a communication line connection point at the desired location on the property in such a way that the line passes over the possession of a third party (neighbour), a land use agreement with the respective landowner (or landowners) is required. The method of concluding a land use agreement is up to you: it can be oral, simple or notarial. In case if the land use agreement, which is a prerequisite for the construction of a customer line, becomes an obstacle when installing the communication line in the desired location, then we will install the connection point on the electricity mast.

The cable solution depends on the network structure of the area. You will see a personal solution when concluding the contract. As a rule, we bring the cable to the house with an overhead line or to the border of the property with an underground cable. Watch the video »

• With an overhead line

With aerial cabling, we'll bring the cable to the facade of your house whenever possible, where we'll install a small (up to 15 x 20 cm) junction box. To facilitate bringing the solution into your room, we'll provide installation instructions and the necessary cable, which you can either route into your room yourself, request as a free additional service from us, or obtain from a telecommunications service provider.

If aerial cabling isn't feasible or if you prefer not to have the cable brought to your house facade, we'll bring the cable to a location in close proximity to your property, typically to an electricity pole. We'll also install a small junction box on the pole.

Additionally, you have the option to easily install the underground cable yourself.

• With underground cable

We will bring the underground cable free of charge to the boundary of your property in the ground or to an electricity mast located in the immediate vicinity of your property, where we will install a junction box. The builder will install the cable in the optimal manner, but you have the option to request changes. However, any changes you request may incur additional costs.

The underground route is located at a depth of 30 cm. The location of the connection point is chosen according to necessity: when bringing it into the building, a penetration hole is drilled in the wall at a height of 10-200 cm, and when installing it on an external wall of the building, the point is located at a height of 20-200 cm. The condition of the surface prior to construction will be restored.

If desired, you can also install the underground cable yourself. The cable protection pipe must have a smooth inner wall (we recommend a 32 mm PEM pipe). The protection pipe does not need to be installed below the frost line. However, it is necessary to seal the ends of the pipe to prevent water, soil, etc., from entering. We lay our cables 1 m under roads and 0.7 m in green areas. Therefore, we recommend that you install the pipe at the same depth.

The cable protection conduit must be laid from the house to the electricity mast, where the connection point will be located, and leave a 2.5 m allowance at the mast to bring the conduit to the connection point on the mast. The builder will contact you when installing the connection point on the mast and provide precise instructions on how high it will be and how the communication cable will be installed.

• In the apartment

We will bring the cable to the exterior door of the apartment. At the end of the cable, we will install a small junction box (up to 10 x 10 cm and 2 cm deep). To facilitate bringing the solution into your room, we'll provide installation instructions and the necessary cable, which you can either route into your room yourself, request as a free additional service from us, or obtain from a telecommunications service provider.

With all solutions, you can transport the cable to the room yourself or have it done by your service provider. To do this, we provide the necessary cable with installation instructions. The equipment necessary for the use of the Internet and television service is installed by the communication service provider. In case of a solution installed on the external facade, it is also possible to order a cable to be brought indoors by us. You can order the cable to be brought inside the house free of charge upon concluding the connection agreement. For addresses that fall into a "white area" or a market failure address with a state-supported address, we will bring the cable to indoors free of charge if the customer joins and orders the service within two months. The term of the free service is displayed in the self-service when concluding the subscription agreement.

If you start using the service over a high-speed Internet network, you can cancel your existing connections and ask the cable owner to remove the additional cable.

You do not have to choose a communication service provider immediately. You can also choose this once we have built the network. We will notify you of the completion of the network separately, after which you can enter into an agreement with a suitable service provider. A communication service contract is necessary in order to use high-speed internet, telephone and TV on a daily basis.

Our high-speed internet network is open to all service providers, but at your place of consumption you can choose a suitable service provider from those who have the ability to provide services in this area and with whom a corresponding agreement has been concluded.
